Hi all,
As always, small delays (Covid is back in China, our factory shut down for two weeks) but we are back on track and should finish production by the end of the month.
We wanted to clarify a few things about our previous update.
In the last update, we wanted you to confirm that your address and credit card information in the survey is up to date.
The credit card information is only relevant for backers that added items in the add-on section. When we charge your card, the name “BreakingGames” will appear on your credit bill, they are our partners and will be handling credit card processing on our behalf.

Hi all,
We don’t want to jinx it, but it looks like production is actually happening!
What’s Done:
- All the aluminum parts are ready and were polished or painted (depending on the model).
- All PCBs were assembled and loaded with the final code.
- All plastic parts were produced.
- Packages are in the making.
- New molds for the bases are ready (the old ones had issues).
- Final Titanium samples were approved and CNC will begin in the next 2 weeks.
What’s left:
- Assembling the PCBs with the plastic core.
- Connecting the bearing balls to the aluminum body.
- Producing the bases.
- Assembling and testing the final tops before packaging.
We estimate that all LIMBOs will be ready by mid-April and start shipping in May.

Most of you filled your Backerkit survey beautifully, but it was a long time ago. We want to make sure that the address you provided us back then is still relevant, so please use the link below to log in and approve your address. It Should take 1-2 minutes tops.

Great progress

Hi all,
LIMBO is finally ready for mass production. We made a test run of 300 units, shipped them to our office, and tested them thoroughly.
We are very pleased with the results and this is the first time we achieved a manufacturing process that creates perfect LIMBOs on a large scale.
Here's a video from our QA session:
Each core (the gyro mechanism) is tested inside a top twice, first at the electronics factory, and the second at the assembly factory on the actual LIMBO it’s shipped in.
We have sent all batteries for recharging so they won’t be damaged even if you won’t use them immediately. We are expected to receive the batteries in mid-February, right after the Chinese New Year, then we will start the electronic assembly.
We are also remaking the bases, unlike regular tops, LIMBO needs some friction to spin properly. We are now making a mold that will help us control the friction better.
The updated delivery date is the beginning of April 2022. We are working hard to make sure it will not be delayed again.
The Backerkit survey is still open so you can change your address if needed, few weeks before shipping we will lock the survey for edits.

Getting ready for manufacturing

Hi all,
After more delays and problem solving, we are getting ready for manufacturing in 3-4 weeks
COVID-19 has made everything more complicated, components prices went up and delivery times have become a major issue. Despite that, most challenges are behind us and production should start by the end of this month.
Due to travel restrictions we are not able to get into China and supervise the production ourselves which again complicates the process, but will monitor production remotely and share the progress on the go.
Thanks again for being patient, LIMBO will happen, and we hope that by September all LIMBOs will spin on your desks.

2021 the year of the LIMBO

Hi all,
A lot has happened in the last months and we are finally going into production with the new motor and a completely new internal design and tooling.
All components and materials have been ordered, and we are expecting to receive them by mid April. Then we will start the SMT process (electronic assembly), and at the beginning of May, the final assembly should start.
If all goes according to plan, we should start the delivery this June.
A long delay, we know, but it’s going to happen and we’re sure you will appreciate the final product.
Before we ship, we’ll remind you again to check your address and you will have the option to change it again in case you’ve moved.
