Today at “Meet the Fearless”: Elad Sela
Problem: When we started working on LIMBO, we realized that developing using CNC machines is insanely expensive, factories don’t really like to have their machines working on a few tops all day long.
Solution: We found an insane person that happens to have a CNC factory, he fell in love with our vision and became a member of the Fearless family. Thanks to Elad, we were able to make 20-30 iterations that helped us making LIMBO perfect.

Here’s another take on the 3D printing video, this time it was a successful take, though we are still not happy with how it turned out,
The angle we used when shooting it, doesn't deliver the idea we were looking for, that the printer is shaking LIMBO. We might re-redo it:
* On the video above, LIMBO spun for 5 hours and change, we guarantee "only" +4 hours to be on the safe side.

Some Q&A
Q: Will there be an EU friendly shipping?
A: We still cannot guarantee an EU friendly shipping because we still haven’t decided on a shipping company [or did we? Still negotiating) and not all of them support this option. We’ll try our best.
Q: What about keychains for the Titanium version?
A: We’ll send 3D files to anyone with their own printing solution. In addition, we’ll upload the design to Shapeways so you can order from them. We’re still looking for options to manufacture in small quantities.
Q: What Titanium grade would you be using?
A: We will probably use TA2 or better.

We know we promised some stuff on our last update, however, this update is already getting a bit too long as it is. Shame on us.

Hi everyone,
We wanted to thank all of you wonderful backers for sharing with us all your awesome ideas for LIMBO.
We are still looking into some of them, but for now, we chose and executed the suggestion of @Jean-Maxime Marleau. @Jean suggested us to spin LIMBO on a 3D printer while printing:
We failed miserably! but that’s a good opportunity to show you guys what a first attempt looks like in real life.

What have we learned from this attempt:
LIMBO is more reliable than our 3D printer, it can undergo major interruptions and yet to maintain its balance.
The constant changes to LIMBO’s speed, causing it to “fight” for its balance, doesn't have a major effect on the battery's life, we will keep testing it and report.
Next time we won’t mount the camera onto the moving tray. We think the first video is much cooler!

You plan an update, you know exactly what you wanna say, you send it to your Fearless teammate to upload, then you see this:

Back to the original update, we know that it might be rude to publicly announce it, but we quite board around here, the Dev/Production dudes are super busy, they probably won’t even read this update, so we can make fun of them, but here at marketing, we are running out of ideas on how to share LIMBO with the world.
And here’s where we can use your Fearless minds, if you have ANY idea, the fearless the better, we will seriously consider it and might do it (and reward the genius).
Here are some ideas we are making up at the moment so you can use them as a reference:
Have a marathon runner holding a base with LIMBO spinning for their entire run. If they’re good, they’ll use the standard version, if they are like us, they’ll use the WR version.
Send a LIMBO to the “Will it Blend” dude, asking him to try and blend it. We already tried contacting him, if someone knows him, please speak up.
Contact Elon Musk, offering to re-break the record with his batteries. Or just send a LIMBO to space and see what happens.
Make a “Backer off the Week” award, each week will choose the best backer and upgrade his reward. It’s a bit against Kickstarter’s guidelines, so we can’t really do it, but maybe you guys have better ideas.
Basically, we are trying to outsource the creative to you guys, while we’ll do the execution, deal? If you have an idea, please comment on this update. If it’s too kinky, you can also send us an email to - info😊fearless.toys.
Finishing the electronic design
Furthermore, we’ve decided to delay the cost-reduction to after the first batch (your LIMBOs). What usually happens is that after you design an electric board with high-end components, you want to move to the cost-reduction stage, this means sourcing cheaper alternatives to the original design.
So, to sum it up, your LIMBOs will be made using high-end components and without any compromises.

Hi Fearless Backers,
We are almost in the middle of the campaign and honestly, we can’t complain. We knew LIMBO is a great product, we just didn’t know if other people will think the same, so thank you other people :)
Being funded so quickly helps us to start preparing for manufacturing and in the next updates, we will share our progress.
Here are some issues you guys have been asking in the comments/Private messages:
Special Features - Many suggested us to add special features for LIMBO, for example, turning the gyro on/off. Checking the battery level and more. So definitely yes, LIMBO can do all this but we haven't finalized all the functions yet. We are not lazy, it takes time to bring the power consumption to perfection. We hope to release all features before the campaign ends.
Keychain for Titanium Versions - 6 people have been working on LIMBO for more than a year now, than 1 youtube comment on ourlive demo makes them all feel stupid. As we have mentioned on the page and also on the comments/PM, the Ti versions (LIMBO Ti and LIMBO WR) don’t include a Keychain, due to the fact that the numbers of orders of the Ti are not enough to make a special mold for the keychain. “But what about making a 3D printed version” - Brilliant. So we did it:
Ti Keychain for 3D Printing
We will test it this week and decide if we can offer it, and what are the costs, but either way we will share the design, so if you have access to a printer, you will be able to print it. We’ll probably make several different designs. Also for the Aluminum versions, we will make more options for 3D printing.
USB TYPE C - So no, no USB-C for LIMBO. There just isn't enough space on the electronic board. We are sourcing an adapter and might include it in the package. We will update about it.
