Hi All,
It’s been 4 weeks since our last update and here’s what's happened so far:
Customized Motor
We can’t stress it enough, that’s the core of LIMBO and the most important component. As mentioned in our last update, we are now working hand in hand with a big motors manufacturer, at the moment one of our Fearless team members is in China running tests. We’ll have news to share in 1-2 weeks.
Everything else is ready for mass production, the process should take 5-6 weeks. We are working hard to make it shorter so the delivery would begin this January.
Nuremberg Toy Fair
Any toy fair lovers in the crowd? We will be presenting LIMBO at the Nuremberg Toy Fair at the end of January. If you happen to be there, we would love to meet you in person! we’ll share our booth number on the next update.

Mid-October LIMBO Update

Hi All,
It’s already Mid-October and there’s a lot of pressure before the manufacturing begins. We chose the worst time of the year to manufacture since all factories are in full capacity before the holidays.
We are still on schedule and manufacturing should start in 2-3 weeks. We’ll start off with a test batch of ~1000 units that will not be delivered to you, but will be used for testing purposes alone.
Our biggest challenge is to make sure all LIMBOs work the same, so our code will run perfectly for each LIMBO. To achieve that we need maximum precision and algorithms that can compensate on tiny differences. We already have the PID algorithm that works like an auto-tune software, but it will need to be calibrated for the mass production components.

Our next update (in 2-3 weeks) will contain photos of the first batch and the Survey, and hopefully, the final delivery date.

Hi to all the LIMBOteers,
We are now one month after the KS campaign has ended and these days, it’s all about the manufacturing process and the delivery efforts.
The final version of the PCB (electronic board) design is finished (still in tests), and the metals have been ordered. The Code is also ready but we will probably need to fine tune it when all the components are final.
If all continues going according to plan (as it has done up till now), we will start manufacturing in mid-October and delivery will be in December. We will send updates every 3-4 weeks until then.
Recent FAQ:
Survey - Will be sent during October, We will use Backerkit, this service will enable you, the backer, to select your wanted color for the tops and bases, adding more items (we will offer spare parts and maybe other items) and also adding or editing your shipping address.
Will I get my LIMBO for Christmas? Probably yes, because we really don’t want to disappoint you, however, we will ship more than 10K LIMBO’s and that’s no picnic, in the meantime please remain good Boys and Girls.

LIMBO’s Grand Finale

Hi all,
We are in the last hours of the campaign and everything is happening so fast. We want to share with you our insights and feelings (grab some tissues):
The campaign exceeded our expectations by a mile. Thanks to you, LIMBO is the most funded spinning top/spinner on the Milky Way.
That’s just the beginning - now it’s time for the hard work. We feel like the concept of LIMBO is a huge responsibility, we are creating a “magical item” and in order for it to truly be magical, it must be perfect, so we’ll do our best to make it such.
The LIMBO community is quite big (~9K people), if you are not familiar with the community section, take a look here, you can see some insights about your fellow LIMBO backers.
What’s next?
Development - We have mentioned it on one of our previous updates, due to LIMBO’s success and our desire to meet deadlines, we will manufacture using the current high-end spec, which is really an overkill and also enables us to offer some additional features. We will update about these features later on, but since we love spoilers, we can say that we are adding 3-5 RGB LEDs and working on different “modes”. BTW, It will neither speed up nor slow down the delivery times, our bottleneck is the custom motors.
*the LEDs will only be visible when you open LIMBO, they will not be seen from the outside.
Modes - here are some ideas we are working on: Fast/Slow spinning modes, fast can be good for tricks and rough surfaces. While slow will create the illusion that LIMBO is about to fall (Like at the end of “That movie”). In all modes LIMBO will adjust its speed, the difference is the targeted speed it is aiming for. We are also working on modes for magic tricks and for long storage.
*Disclaimer: We probably want these features as much as you do, but if it will delay the delivery we will have to stay with the original design. Keep in mind that we are fearless and will do our best as always.
Please comment and share your thoughts about these modes, we love them but also want to keep LIMBO simple and intuitive.
Backerkit - about 84.5% of you are experienced backers and probably know this already, several weeks before the delivery, we will send a survey where you can manage your pledge, select the color of your tops and bases and tell us your additional items (for those who manually added more funds). We will use Backerkit’s service which really makes it easy for all. On your end, rest assured that you will be able to control your reward almost up until shipping time. Once the campaign ends, If you wish to add more items to your cart, we recommend doing that via the Backerkit’s service and not through any other channel, you’ll get it faster and for the best price.
Indiegogo - Tomorrow we will launch an IGG campaign on their indemeand program. Prices will be a bit higher or equal to the Kickstarter campaign, and IGG backers will receive their LIMBO after we’ll finish the delivery to you guys. Keep in mind that when you see the IGG page, it indicates the total amount of both campaigns. That’s quite confusing.
