Getting back on track

Hi all,

It looks like we have found motors that will work well, we have spent the last few weeks testing samples from this batch.

In the next 2-3 weeks, we will send our fearless team member to the motor factory in China to examine and test the entire batch.

We will also need to redo all the bottom metal parts that we already made in order to fit them to the new motors. 

We hope to finish all before the Chinese New Year in late January, but we have learned not to promise a shipping date till we actually ship.

Thanks for your patient, it’s in our best interest that you will get your perfect LIMBOs as soon as possible, and we are working hard to make it happen.

Hi all,

We are still working on finding a good motor supplier, nonetheless, at the same time, we have started developing our own motor.

Developing the motor from scratch is a truly complicated and expensive process, perhaps even more complicated than developing LIMBO.

We are doing it because we have no choice, we have been trying to avoid this process for more than 2 years, however, It looks like it’s the only way to deliver a good product.

Once we get the motor done, the rest should be easy, we have already manufactured the other components.

We understand your frustration about the delays, we suffer from it too, these are not good days for us as a company and on a personal level. We would greatly appreciate if you would avoid mean comments, it doesn't help, it’s in our best interest to deliver a great product as soon as possible.

We are still optimistic that we will find the right motor and deliver a great product.

For now, we don’t have a final shipping date, but we will keep updating you about the motor and shipping status.

Hi all, 

We have started sending out the Backerkit surveys and some of you already received and completed them (thanks!).

We are sending them gradually so all of you will receive them during the next 2 days. 

Please complete the survey as soon as possible so your reward won’t get delayed. We hope to start shipping during September. 

Most of the components have already been manufactured (metal parts, plastics, etc) but we’re still facing challenges in the quality assurance process during the assembly line. We are building special tools for that.

Production

We are in a very advanced stage of the production but are still facing a few challenges, mainly in the QA (quality assurance) level. Making one perfect LIMBO it relatively easy, but making thousands when each one is perfect is our main challenge now.

At the moment, it looks like production will end during September, please bear with us during this intense time. We are doing everything we can to make sure your LIMBO is perfect.
